In partnership with the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI), we invite motivated MIT students with experience in the computer sciences to complete an internship with our multidisciplinary team, which is currently dedicated to redefining how scientific documents are written.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Interns will be involve in cutting-edge research in the areas of machine learning and big data analytics. Some of the R+D+i topics that interns may be involved include:

  • Supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques to organize and classify massive databases of scientific text
  • NLP models for text representation, classification, and feature selection
  • Deep learning classifiers for providing journal suggestions.

WriteWise Research Group

INTERN PROFILE

We are looking for highly motivated students interested in scientific writing and applying AI to improve the writing process. Interns will be expected to independently approach challenges and regularly interact with WriteWise Team Members and Collaborators. Interns should actively propose novel solutions to the problem WriteWise is addressing and participate in brainstorming sessions. It is critical that interns have an innovative, “start-up” mindset.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Programming experience

(Python, advanced)

Experience with machine-learning models

using tools such as Scikit-Learn, Keras, and/or Tensorflow.

Experience in software

development using tools such as Django.
